-The Civil War II tie-in miniseries are heating up with this third release!

-Focusing on the split in ideologies that initiates the Civil War event, Choosing Sides will present two stories from each side of the argument.

-Artist Declan Shalvey (Moon Knight) will not only be providing artwork for portions of the miniseries, but also handling writing duties.

-Featuring an ensemble cast, Choosing Sides will focus on characters like Nick Fury, Black Widow, The Punisher, Moon Knight, and other “street level” or SHIELD related heroes.

-After enacting grisly revenge for the death of another 00 agent, Bond is assigned to investigate a technology corporation who appears to have ties to a devastating street drug.

-Working off of Ellis’ minimalist scripts, artist Jason Masters delivers panel layouts and action sequences that are gorgeously paced and inventively illustrated.

-Two of the most nineties Marvel superheroes out there join forces in this five issue miniseries.

-Comedic writing duo, Ben Acker and Ben Blacker (Thunderbolts, Thrilling Adventure Hour), return to Marvel to bring the funny to this miniseries.

-Deadpool vs. Gambit will unveil an previously unknown history between the characters!

-When the anti-heroes have to pull a heist together things go terribly wrong, leading to them eventually having to sling hamburgers in a dinner together. . .what?

-You’ve seen the film a hundred times.  Now read the Marvel comic adaptation!

-Broken up over five issues, this adaptation covers the events of the film plus maybe a few new scenes.

-A new voice on the Marvel scene, Chuck Wendig (Hyperion) handles writing duties here.

-With beautiful variant covers by Esad Ribic, Joe Quesada, and John Cassaday, the interiors will be equally great by veteran artist, Luke Ross.

-Ryan Ferrier is once again joined by artist Valentin Ramon, who he worked with on D4Ve.

-After a drug and drink fueled life, protagonist Teddy is sentenced to the hell for his transgressions.  Once he’s there, he finds it’s nothing like he expected.

-Expected detailed debauchery on the level of Nancy in Hell or any Garth Ennis series when you pick up Hot Damn!

-Long overdue, Marvel is finally release the C-3PO one shot!

-A tie-in for The Force Awakens, this one shot explains how C-3PO received his red arm.

-This issue will re-team the acclaimed creative duo of James Robinson and Tony Harris, who have not worked together for two decades!

-This oversized issue is important for any die hard Star Wars fan!

Moon Knight #1Moon Knight

-Cult favorite character Marc Spector, essentially the Batman of the Marvel Universe, returns with his own ongoing series!

-Moon Knight has fought the good fight for many years, but when he wakes up in a mental institution and is told he’s always been there, he has to confront the fact that all of his adventures may have occurred in his head.

-Acclaimed writer Jeff Lemire (Old Man Logan, Green Arrow, Extraordinary X-Men) takes over after the previous run of Moon Knight by Warren Ellis, Cullen Bunn, and Brian Wood.

-Lemire is joined by Greg Smallwood, the artist from the previous series, who provides a trippy, experimental style to the series.

-Just in time for Spectre, Dynamite launches an ongoing James Bond series!

-A perfect pairing, Warren Ellis (Nextwave, Karnak, Moon Knight) is the lead writer on the series, contracted for a full year!

-While not an adaptation of an Ian Fleming novel, this comic series will be set in Fleming’s version of the Bond universe.

-Vargr, the first arc of the comic, sees Bond returning to England after a hunt for revenge in order to take up the duties of a recently killed 00 agent.  Will he meet the same fate?

Citizen Jack #1Citizen Jack

-If you’re fed up with the facades and manufactured nature of the recent political debates, Citizen Jack is the dark, political satire for you!

-Straying from his main Marvel gig, Sam Humphries (Star-Lord, Avengers A.I., Avengers World, Uncanny X-Force) launches this new Image ongoing series.

-The main character of Citizen Jack is a politician seeking the POTUS position, and, like everyone suspects of real politicians, Jack has literally sold his soul to the devil.

-The second major launch from Image Comics this week!

-Intricately illustrated, Monstress is for Sci-Fi fans of Dune, Alien, and the Riddick films.

-A young girl in a far away galaxy is bonded to a monster of tremendous power, which drops her directly between two opposing forces.  If you’ve been reading 8House and/or From Under Mountains, you need to pick up Monstress!

All New All Different Marvel November Week 1Extraordinary X-Men

-Another massive first week of the month for All New All Different Marvel releases.  Leading the charge this week is the return of Deadpool!

-Representing the cosmic section of the Marvel Universe, Nova #1 and Drax #1 (written by WWE superstar C.M. Punk) drop, as well!

-Under the radar, but likely to impress, Howard the Duck returns with a new #1 (and a Gwenpool back-up) while Hercules and Vision gain their own ongoing series.

-After Convergence, the Pre-New 52 DC Universe is up for grabs!

-Last week’s Superman:  Lois and Clark #1 dropped some insane revelations about the original Superman still existing in the current DC Universe, so who knows what will be revealed in this maxiseries!

-Dan Abnett, writer of the fan favorite Guardians of the Galaxy and Annihilation series, is crafting this entire maxiseries.

-A mysterious woman named Lilith has been receiving visions about a Teen Titans team that no one else remembers.  Once Dick Grayson and the other original Titans are brought together, they will get to the bottom of this “lost” team.

All New All Different Marvel Week 3Astonishing Ant Man

-Continuing one of Marvel‘s true under-read titles, Astonishing Ant-Man #1 follows this summer’s surprise movie star, Scott Lang, as he attempts to reconnect with his estranged daughter and stay on the good side of the law.  That last part may be a little tough.

-Following up his hit Moon Knight run, Warren Ellis brings his talent for concise storytelling to Karnak, the deadliest Inhuman.

-Not specifically part of the ANAD release, but still a new one-shot from MarvelAgents of Atlas is one of the last Secret Wars tie-ins.

-The week’s major Marvel release is easily Uncanny Inhumans #1!  Written by Charles Soule (Inhuman, She-Hulk, Death of Wolverine, Secret Wars Civil War) elevates the newest characters being made popular by Agents of SHIELD.

-Not something we regularly do, but with this collection we’re highlighting a reprint.

-But why do that, you might ask?  Well, simply put:  Nextwave is considered by the Pulp staff to be one of Marvel‘s best comic series ever!

-Written by one of comic’s greats, Warren Ellis (Trees, Planetary, Transmetropolitan), and illustrated by new Star Wars artist, Stuart Immonen, this series is pure perfection!

-One of Marvel‘s funniest comics ever, as a ragtag group of heroes (including Machine Man, Boom-Boom, and Captain F&*!) fight against a SHIELD-esque organization called HATE.  In the course of the series, the group battles Cuddly Wittle Drop Bears of Death, a talking dinosaur, a horny Fing Fang Foom, and, in general, political correctness.

-Dark Horse jumps onto Boom! Studios bandwagon of colorful, manga-influenced, ebullient comics!

-Zodiac Starforce is clearly born out of a nostalgia and love for Power Rangers and Sailor Moon!

-In issue #1, you’ll be introduced to a team of superpowered female fighters who defend the Earth from aliens in-between high school classes.

-Where the twist comes in, though, is that future issues jump into the future, after the ladies are out of school, and must reform the Zodiac Starforce after having broken up.

Batman Arkham Knight Genesis #1 (of 6)Batman Arkham Knight Genesis

-A second prequel miniseries to the Batman Arkham Knight video game!

-Peter J. Tomasi, writer of the main Arkham Knight series, will also be writing Genesis!

-Genesis will reveal the origin of the mysterious Arkham Knight (whose real name will be especially familiar to avid Batman fans).

-Issues will jump back-and-forth between past and present, including one where the will tangle with Harley Quinn in both time periods.
