Netrunner Data Pack The Spaces BetweenDave Matthews must have just been hired on as a game designer at Fantasy Flight, because the newest Netrunner LCG Data Pack is named The Spaces Between.  The second expansion in the Lunar Cycle, The Spaces Between lives up to its name by exploring the limbo status of used up events and operations.  What after effects do these cards have once they are discarded?

Doesn’t matter what class you play in the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, Paizo has Pathfinder Adventure Card Game Rogue Class Deckyou covered.

This weekend, the publisher is unleashing Class Decks for seven different class types, with each being capable of incorporation into the base Adventure Card Game.  The seven class types presented are the Bard, Cleric, Fighter, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, and Wizard.  Each deck contains 109 cards that apply to four different archetypes for each class and spells, allies, and weapons to be used with any of them.

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game Skull Shackles Raiders of the Fever SeaAlso out for the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game this weekend are the first two card expansions for the Skull and Shackles adventure path.  First up,  the Character Add-On Deck, like with the base game, supplies three entirely new class types, including Witch, Alchemist, and Warpriest, as well as the cards to expand the game up to six players.  Raiders of the Fever Sea is the second expansion, containing 110 cards that introduce five scenarios that progress the adventure, as well as adding loot, monster, location, villain, and ship cards. Run Fight or Die board game

While zombie-based content my vary from television to film to comics to board games, there is only one consistent option when you face them down:  Run, Fight, or Die.  This new board game changes up the growing subgenre of zombie survival board games by pitting each player (1-4) against their own undead horde.  Players race around a special game board attempting to collect supplies and survivors while not being bitten or letting too many followers become zombified.  Those who outlast the rest with the most life survive to fight another day, while those Smash Up Monster Smash expansionwho don’t shamble away into the darkness.

The pun is so obvious it was only a matter of time before AEG released a Smash Up expansion that used it.

Monster Smash (yup, like monster mash) is the newest expansion for the popular card game where players blend together all sorts of different creatures and character types to form one absurd deck.  Included in the expansion are four original factions, each with a movie monster theme to them.  The four are Werewolves, Vampires, Mad Scientists, and, of course, Giant Ants.  Monster Smash can be played as either a two player game or a four player game, if incorporated into the base Smash Up game.   Rebel Aces Star Wars X-Wing

Many Bothans died to bring you the Rebel Aces Star Wars X-Wing expansion.

All of this can occur in Ragnarok:  Fate of the Norns.  This Kickstarter funded roleplaying game is set in a Viking realm, deep and rich with epic grandeur of Norse mythology.  Made for two to eight players, Ragnarok relies not on dice rolls, but special rune icons (included with the game).

Warmachine’s Iron Kingdoms roleplaying system gains a fancy, metal token set this weekend.  The set contains focus, spell, feat, cripple, fire, and many more tokens, all of which are dry-erase compatible, allowing you to mark on them without permanent effect.

Warp speed has been engaged on the Redshirts Deluxe Edition.  Which means someone is going to be beaten to death by a gorn.

This special edition of the game comes complete with entirely new, remastered artwork as well as the To Boldly Go expansion.  For those unfamiliar with the game, each player takes on the role of a starship captain attempting to eliminate all of their own redshirts before any other player can.

In the game of darkly humored fratricide, players compete to kill their family members in the most horrific ways.  Unquiet Dead adds stories (a new way to kill family members), undead (abilities that let your family become fantastic creatures like werewolves and vampires), and timing symbols (a new feature that effects when actions take place).

Famed game designer Martin Wallace delivers yet another game set in the Discworld of Terry Pratchett.  The Witches:  A Discworld Game has players taking on the roles of trainee witches in either solo, cooperative, or competitive gameplay modes.

Catalyst Game Labs have cooked up a head-to-head tile game that rivals chess.  Meet The Duke.

Players move armies of soldiers toward their opponent’s Duke, attempting to capture him.  How these armies are moved across the field is the unique bit.  Each troop is indicated by a tile, designated with a special movement ability (side-to-side, forward-and-back, etc.), but each also has an entirely different ability on the back which is activated after the tile is moved.

Hanabi, an impressively popular cooperative card game released over the last couple weeks, is back in stock.

Players work together to try and construct the most impressive fireworks show in all of Japan by laying down cards in a particular order.  Where it gets tricky is that everyone holds their cards outward, facing the other players, so that their holder can not see them.

Side-scrolling video games always end with a menacing boss monster, but those poor, lonely, hard-working soles never get any respect.

Until Boss Monster the card game!

A popular Kickstarter endeavor, Boss Monster has players controlling the boss monster at the end of an 8-bit side-scrolling level, but the twist is that you get to assemble the level.  Balancing appealing loot with deadly challenges, players attempt to make their level more appealing to would-be heroes than their boss monster peers.  Just remember to leave that axe away from that bridge line.

3. The story itself focuses on a period of time where the zombie infestation of Earth has dwindled the human population to a point where the vampire community, which has existed in secret since the beginning of time, has begun to worry about their diminishing food supply.

4. In short, that’s vampires vs. zombies vs. humans written by zombie specialist, Max Brooks!

3. Zack Howard, artist on Joe Hill’s The Cape, created and funded this series through Kickstarter, touting it as a personal passion project, which usually bodes well for the quality of the story.

4. Expect high-octane action sequences, as Cola fights to defend her legendary airship, The Dawn, from air pirates and other baddies.

4. Following in the footsteps of post-modern, self-referential comic works like Watchmen (though this is a smidge lighter in tone) and Top Ten, Edison Rex brims with in-jokes and references to comic history!

100 Bullets: Brother Lono #1

1. You thought they were out, but they’re getting pulled back in!

2. Nearly four years after the legendary Vertigo series ended, Brian Azzarello (Wonder Woman) and Eduardo Risso (Flashpoint: Batman) have returned to add a post-script to their epic crime series.

3. Brother Lono picks up after the violent events of the 100 Bullets conclusion, following Lono (who was last seen getting shot in the chest) as he hides out in Mexico.

4. How many series gain an extra chapter after concluding their story, by the original creative team, and almost a half-decade after the last issue came out?  None, that’s the answer.  Be sure to pick-up this over-sized first issue of this comic event!
