Pathfinder gets a bit indy this weekend with Wicked Fantasy. This supplemental edition for Pathfinder is written by indy game creator John Wick, who has entirely redesigned ten of the core races for the system, including humans, elves, goblins, orks, and so on.
Update your living card game version of Game of Thrones so that it’s suitable to sit on the iron throne in King’s Landing with the new resin house cards out this weekend. All four of the biggest houses are represented, including Stark, Targaryen, Lannister, and Greyjoy. Each of these are three dimensional variations of the house crest.
The Rebellion wants you. . .to pick up a copy of the official Age of Rebellion hardcover core rulebook! Just like the Edge of the Empire core rulebook, this edition contains all the essential information for this sister system set later in the Star Wars timeline. Swapping the dynamics of the original Legendary Deck Building Game, Villains allows players to control the major baddies of the Marvel universe, including iconic bad guys like Venom and Magneto. This is a stand-alone addition to the series of Legendary games, but also an expansion that can be mixed with the base game and other expansions.
Attack Wing continues to go boldly where no other space battle miniature game has gone before by release a sixth wave of expansion ships this weekend! Within this release are four new ships from various factions, including another Borg ship, the Soong, the Dominion Second Division Cruiser, and the USS Enterprise refit from Star Trek The Motion(less) Picture.
The creators of Biblios have also released two new games this weekend. The first, a two player dice game that can be played quickly and efficiently, is Capo di Capi. Set during prohibition, players roll dice to bribe police, bootleg liquor, and compete in other illegal endeavors to become the big boss of New York. Also dealing in the seedy underworld of crime, Gunrunners sets two to four players into the roles of law enforcers attempting to stop the sale of illegal weapons.
Another dual release from the same company (and makers of Quiddler and Five Crowns) are Karma and Xactika. Each of these games are trick taking games that are fun for all ages. Karma has players drawing and placing cards of equal value into various piles until a player has successfully eliminated the draw pile and holds only three cards in their hand. Xactika can be a different game for different players, revolving around a betting system that has players estimating the amount of rounds that it will take to clear the table.
Mage Wars gains another expansion this weekend with Forged in Fire.
Primarily, this expansion adds two entirely new mages to the base game, including the Warlord of the Anvil Throne and the Adramelech Warlock, along with forty-one additional spells.
Dungeons and Dragons Next is finally here! The wait is over, so players can now experience an entirely new system of D&D that melds together the best qualities of Advanced D&D with alterations and improvements from D&D 3 and D&D 4. Before the core rulebooks release, prospective players should pick up the cheap introductory Starter Set (reminiscent to the old D&D Red Box) that includes all the materials players will need to learn the system and play a number of adventures for level one to five characters.
