James Bond v.1 HC “Vargr”James Bond 007 HC

-Dynamite‘s best ongoing series receives its first collection!

-Comic veteran Warren Ellis (Transmetropolitan, Planetary, Moon Knight, Nextwave, Astonishing X-Men) is killing it on this series, capturing the perfect blend of Ian Fleming’s novel Bond and the coldness of the Daniel Craig films.

-After enacting grisly revenge for the death of another 00 agent, Bond is assigned to investigate a technology corporation who appears to have ties to a devastating street drug.

-Working off of Ellis’ minimalist scripts, artist Jason Masters delivers panel layouts and action sequences that are gorgeously paced and inventively illustrated.

Midnighter v.1 tpbMidnighter v.1 tpb

-One of DC‘s most underrated, under read series being released right now!  Now’s your chance to catch up.

-Midnighter is a Batman-esque anti-hero from the former Wildstorm universe, but, unlike Batman, Midnighter has no reservations about punching his fist literally through someone’s face.

-Writer Steve Orlando crafts a wonderful slow build story where Midnighter juggles his dating life (after recently having broken up with his boyfriend) and the apprehension of wayward weapons he was supposed to protect.

-Each aspect is brought to explosively stylistic life by the unique art style of Aco; trust me, it looks nothing like any series you’re currently reading.
