-Out the same week as the final issue of the Death of Wolverine miniseries, Logan Legacy #1 deals with the fallout from Logan’s passing.

-A seven issue miniseries, the Logan Legacy will be comprised of one shot stories featuring characters who had a personal connection with Wolverine.  Each issue will be written and illustrated by a different author and artist.

-The murderer’s row of creative talent behind this miniseries is staggering, including the writer of Death of Wolverine himself, Charles Soule, as well as Tim Seeley (Grayson), James Tynion IV (The Woods), Marguerite Bennett (Earth 2: World’s End), and more.

-By the end of this miniseries, those who Logan leaves behind will make a decision about who fills his mask.

-Conjecture!  What if a Doctor Who comic was released this Wednesday?  And what if it starred the 12th Doctor?

-British author, Robbie Morrison, previously of 2000 AD, Judge Dredd, and The Authority, lends his talents to the current Doctor’s ongoing series.

-Each issue will be a stand-alone story, much like an episode of the television series.

-Follow the Doctor and Clara as they survive a planet full of bugs, solve the mystery of a dysfunctional satellite orbiting a dying sun, and travel to ancient India.

-To coincide with the start of the second season, Boom! Studios launches a four issue Sleepy Hollow miniseries!

-This miniseries will see Ichabod and Abbie have to solve a mystery involving falsely beneficial miracles, a dangerous puzzle box, and a menacing grandfather clock, all linked to the ongoing mysteries of the town.

-Boom! has sparred no expense hiring young, talented writers and artists to handle this tie-in, including Scott Snyder’s understudy, Marguerite Bennett and the popular Noelle Stevenson (Lumberjanes).

-Boom! has recently managed to overcome the stigma of the property book in series like Adventure Time, Bee and Puppycat, and Robocop.

Deadpool’s Art of War #1 (of 4)Deadpool Art of War #1

-Sun Tzu’s Art of War is one of the most acclaimed, widely read tactical guides ever written.  But it will be forgotten to time once next Wednesday arrives.

-Another in the ever popular, progressively ridiculous line of Deadpool miniseries, Art of War sees the Merc With a Mouth declare war on the whole world.

-Crossing paths with Loki, the Hulk, Thor, and others, Wade Wilson will put his tactical skills (which mostly involve sneaking up on people and screaming “Boo!” as he stabs them) to the test.

-Veteran Marvel writer, Peter David (X-Factor, Spider-Man 2099, Incredible Hulk) takes a stab at one of the most popular Marvel characters of all time.

The Field #1 (of 4)

-Fans of mysterious serialized storytelling, like The Twilight Zone and LOST, should take a look at this new Image miniseries.

-Ed Brisson, up-and-coming writer of Robocop Last Stand, Secret Avengers, and Sheltered, delivers another unique Image experience!

-A lone man wakes up in a field with amnesia and no hope of figure out who he is or how he got there, except for a random cell phone that warns him about encroaching danger.

-Simon Roy, artist extraordinaire on Brandon Graham’s Prophet, joins with Brisson, supplying his Heavy Metal-esque detail and freakish character designs.

Deadpool vs. Carnage #1 (of 4)

-Cullen Bunn, local writer, continues his runaway success of a run on Deadpool with this four issue miniseries!

-The follow-up to Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe, Deadpool Kills Deadpool, and Night of the Living Deadpool!

-As much as this miniseries is a match of viciousness, it is also a match of insanity.

-Solicits for the book promise ample disembodiment, collateral damage, and hijinks.

Aquaman and the Others #1

-Veteran DC writer and artist Dan Jurgens fleshes out the world of Aquaman that Geoff Johns established in the ongoing series!

-Gain more information on the history of The Others, the Justice League-esque team Aquaman hung out with before he became a famous superhero.

-Also learn more about the mysterious artifacts each of The Others wield against their foes, especially Aquaman‘s trident.

-If you’re still a person who laughs about there being an Aquaman comic series, get with the times and realize he’s one of DC‘s most bad@$$ characters!

Inhuman #1

-Nineties comic legend Joe Madureira (Battle Chasers, Avenging Spider-Man, Ultimates 3) returns to Marvel as interior artist on this ongoing series!

-Charles Soule handles writing duties, following up his hit runs on Swamp Thing, Thunderbolts, and She-Hulk!

-Mutants are so last year, it’s Inhumans all the way in 2014!

-After the events of Infinity, random humans are being transformed by the Terrigen Mist creating an entirely new body of superpowered beings!  How will the rest of the Marvel universe react?

The Mighty Avengers #1

-The Avengers are away and Thanos is here to play!  He plays a little rough, though.

-Luke Cage and a conglomeration of street-level heroes (including the Superior Spider-Man, Monica Rambeau, White Tiger, and the mysterious Spider-Hero) are all that’s left to fend off Thanos‘ generals!

-Marvel finally listened to fans and is providing a series with a little diversity to it!  When was the last time you saw three black superheroes on a team with only one white hero?  Yeah, never.  Glad to say it happens here.

DC Villain’s Month Week 2

-This week sees the release of thirteen more villain-centric titles in both 2D and 3D covers (though the latter are bound to go fast!).

-If you’ve been reading Batman Zero Year by Scott Snyder, you’re definitely going to want to snag the Riddler issue as it is written by Snyder, himself, and drawn by local favorite, Jeremy Haun!

-Geoff Johns lends his creative keyboard to the story for the Black Manta issue this week.  If you picked up Forever Evil #1, you know that Manta has just been broken out of prison and given Aquaman‘s trident.  What will he do next?

-Other notable baddies this week include Harley Quinn (written by St. Louis native, Matt Kindt), Lobo (the first appearance of a radically new design), and Zod (written by Batman/Superman writer, Greg Pak)
