Firefly FluxxTake my love, take my land, but don’t you dare take my Firefly Flux from me!  Out last weekend, Looney Labs newest conquest is the Firefly license, which means the cult favorite Sci-Fi series receives its own Fluxx edition.  Perfect for two to six players, Firefly Fluxx includes completely new keepers, action cards, and creepers to be played stand-alone or combined with any other version of Fluxx.  Also, while supplies last, each purchase of Firefly Fluxx comes with an Alliance creeper promo card.Dice Masters Dungeons Dragons Faerun Under Siege

Dice Masters continues to churn out expansion/Starter Sets for their various properties and this weekend sees the release of Faerun Under Siege for Dungeons & Dragons.  Like the previous Starter Sets for Dice Masters, Faerun Under Siege includes the materials for two players to go head-to-head.  The materials included are forty-four, thirty-eight cards, a rule book, and two dice bags.  This set can also be combined with any of the A Game of Thrones Wolves of the Northprevious Dice Masters sets.

With a title like Wolves of the North, you know that the newest expansion set for the A Game of Thrones card game has to be about the Stark family.  Wolves of the North includes character, event, location, attachment, and plot cards to expand and flesh out your Stark deck.  In addition to the Stark-centric cards, the expansion also contains materials for all the other factions in the game, totally up to over 150 cards.Shadows Over Innistrad Intro Packs Booster box Fat Pack

Artifacts Inc.Indiana Jones would tell you these artifacts belong in a museum, and as the owner of your own archaeological company in Artifacts, Inc., that’s exactly what you’ll attempt to do.  An up to sixty minute playtime dice rolling game for two to four players, Artifacts, Inc. has players rolling dice (which represent adventurers) in order to place them onto cards (that require specific numbers) in order to gain cash and favor with museums.Valley of the Kings Afterlife

Staying in the realm of tombs and buried treasure, Valley of the Kings:  Afterlife is out this weekend.  The second expansion/stand alone addition to this Egyptian themed deck building series, Afterlife can be played with one to four players or added to the original to facilitate six player Cthulhu Realmsplay.

As there can never be enough games that feature everyone’s favorite elder god or a deck building mechanic, Cthulhu Realms combines the two in a cheap, quick to learn package.  Putting a spin on the traditional deck building scheme, Cthulhu Realms allows players to chain cards for a great payoff than if they played them individually.  As well, each box contains a special promo character that can be played in the game.Marrying Mr. Darcy

Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice has been combined with zombies before, but never with the mechanics of a card game.  Well no more, because the Kickstarter funded Marrying Mr. Darcy card game is on shelves, as of last week.  In this literary role-playing card game, players take on the roles of female suitors from the novel, building up their romantic appeal in order to woo a handsome suitor.  You’ll attend balls, receive proposals, and cunningly outwit your opponents all in an effort to avoid becoming an Tides of Timeold maid.

A possible contender for the minimalist card game spot held by Love Letter, Tides of Time is a card game that consists of only eighteen cards and plays with only two players.  Players try to build grand civilizations by combining a set of complimentary cards in their kingdom, while also attempting to sabotage their opponents plans.  After three rounds, each player will have either a memorable empire or a pitiful group of random ventures.Discoveries the Journal of Lewis and Clark

A completely standalone addition to the previous Discoveries release, Discoveries:  The Journals of Lewis and Clark requests that you get your explorer on!  In the game, players will take on the role of either Lewis, Clark, or two of the other members of the famous expedition.  Over the course of sixty minutes, players will then compete to collect cards that represent scientific discoveries (as well as Takenoko Chibisvictory points).  To do that, players will need to roll dice to gain exploration actions.

I think we can all agree that pandas are cute.  And more pandas equals greater cuteness.  Such is the theory behind Takenoko Chibis, the first expansion for the popular panda gardening game.  Pairing this expansion with the base Takenoko game, players will gain a handful of new objectives, new plots (including the discovery of the gardener’s cabin), and an additional figure named Miss Panda.  Miss Panda, as well, has the ability of delivering baby pandas, increasing the levels of cuteness to a nearly unbearable degree.

Fantasy Flight, much like The Khaleesi, continues to march forward with new Adventure Packs.  The Kingsguard is out today and is the third part of the Kingsroad cycle.  As per usual, the deck contains sixty original cards, many of which enhanced the game’s Shadow mechanic.

Piazo unleashed a near truckload of Pathfinder books this weekend, including the Bestiary 4 hardcover.  The rest of this mountain of books includes:

Pathfinder RPG: Reign of Winter Pawn Collection

Pathfinder RPG: Blood of the Moon
Pathfinder RPG: Seedy Tavern Flip-Mat
Pathfinder RPG: Dungeon Corridors Map Pack
Pathfinder RPG: Wrath of the Righteous Adventure Path 3: Demon’s Heresy
Pathfinder RPG: Towns of the Inner Sea

As well, the hotly anticipated second expansion pack for the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, The Skinsaw Murders, also launched this weekend.  While supplies last, each purchase of The Skinsaw Murders receives a limited edition Blessing of Zarongel promo card.

Nearly a collector’s item before they even go on sale, the Magic the Gathering 2013 Commander Decks are in limited supply and desperately sought after.  These decks come pre-built for the Commander/EDH format, which are comprised of 100 cards (only one of each) and a general/commander card that is in charge of them.  A rising format in MtG, these Commander Decks allow you to catch up without have to hunt down tons of expensive cards.

Hopefully you’ve got some extra space in that airplane hanger in your backyard because Wings of Glory unleashes a full fleet of new plane miniatures.  Included within these three new planes is the much anticipated Mustangs.  For those technical junkies out there, here’s the official titles for each plane:

Wings of Glory WWII: Focke-Wulf FW-190 (German)
Wings of Glory WWII: P-51 Mustang (USA)
Wings of Glory WWII: Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate (Fujimoto)

The Walking Dead has pervaded nearly ever aspect of culture since it first showed up on AMC, and so it’s about dang time it received that final test of pop culture-dom:  a Risk game.  If you haven’t played Risk you’re obviously an alien, so it’s pretty easy to imagine how this version is an appropriation of Walking Dead‘s characters and locations by the regional warfare of Risk.

One of the best family games ever created, Carcassonne, receives two new additions this weekend.  First up, another version of the base game, set, however, during a harsh winter instead of the lush spring.  This Carcassonne Winter Edition also includes the Gingerbread expansion.  Along with this is another collection of previously released expansions, including the Count, King, and Robber.

Why take your kids to the zoo when you can take the zoo to the kids?

Zooloretto: The Dice Game is travel version of the original game, altering the original animal picking to dice rolls.  The short and sweet version of it goes like this:  One, you get animals to score points, two, you roll dice for more animals, and, three, use some of those animals to fill your zoo.  Just make sure to pair like animals together.

The expansion pack to Ascension:  Rise of Vigil, is out today and it unleashes the darkness!

Ascension:  Darkness Unleashed allows players to use Dark Energy Shards in order to power up and transform their their heroes and constructs.  Also, if you do not have the previous base game you can still pick this expansion up and play it as a a head-to-head variation.  If you do have Rise of Vigil, Darkness Unleashed converts it to a six player game.

The captain may go down with the ship, but no one else does.  Or, at least, they hope they don’t.

Lifeboats is all about survival at any means necessary.  Escaping a sinking ship, players gather into lifeboats and attempt to make their way to the nearest shore.  However, disaster lies ahead as the waves pound against the dingy, throwing passengers overboard.  The catch is that players get to choose who goes overboard, negotiating to keep their characters in the ship and playing the Captain’s Hat to overrule a deadly vote.

Following in the footsteps of the D&D Red Box and the Pathfinder Beginner Box, the new Thunderstone Starter Set creates a perfect introduction to the popular deck building game.  Offering the essentials for a two to five player game, this set not only provides the materials to get looting, exploring, and monster fighting, but also scales up to serve the needs of veteran players.

Already sold out at the distributor level, the Kanai Factory edition of Love Letter is a limited version of the extremely popular original.  Including two new promo cards, making the deck total eighteen, this version presents the game in its original Japanese incarnation.  And again, once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Finally, as the force is always with you, the third wave of Star Wars X-Wing ships have arrived!

This wave includes the B-Wing, HWK 290, the Tie Bomber, and the oversized ship for the set, the Imperial Lambda Shuttle.
