Uncanny X-Men Dice Masters Starter SetAfter WizKids left everyone desperately searching for the first Marvel Dice Masters Starter Set, they’ve made up for it (slightly) with the second Starter release.  Uncanny X-Men is the second complete Starter Set for the game, including materials for two players.  Those basic materials include forty-four dice (12 actions, 16 characters, and 16 sidekicks) as well as thirty-eight cards.  In addition to the Uncanny X-Men Starter Sets, the Uncanny X-Men Booster Packs were also released, with each pack containing two dice and cards.Guardians Chronicles

Iello, the makers of King of Tokyo, have released a new superhero board game this weekend called Guardians’ Chronicles.  Playing similarly to Last Night on Earth, two to five players control different superhero characters (represented by miniatures) on a randomly assembled game board.  One player, however, controls the evil Professor Skarov, whose stronghold is located in the middle of the game board.  Each character receives a finite amount of action cards to get them across the board and through the multiple minions that Skarov will throw at them.  Skarov’s own actions are based Say Bye to the Villainsoff of the amount used by players each round, so choose wisely.

From Seiji Kanai, the maker of Love Letter, comes a cooperative card game that will be manly enough for those who think Love Letter is too girly.  Say Bye to the Villains is inspired by seventies Kung-Fu films, like Enter the Dragon, and has three to eight players working together to secretly pass information between each other in order to defeat their vile nemesis.Revolution Anarchy expansion

Steve Jackson’s Revolution gains another expansion this weekend with Anarchy.  Primarily intended to grow the game’s player limit up to six, the expansion includes more bidding boards, board overlays, and other essentials.  As well, Anarchy alters how certain characters, including the Warden, Heretic, and Anarchist, interact, providing them new Munchkin Loot Letterabilities.

Munchkin and Love Letter mix together this weekend like peanut butter and jelly with Munchkin Loot Letter.  Another version of the popular card game, Loot Letter plays the same as all the previous versions of Love Letter, but features the artwork and characters from Steve Jackson‘s popular Munchkin card game.  As this is a Munchkin product, however, it comes with a promo card that can not be found in any other game and is compatible with any version of Munchkin.D&D Attack Wing

Following in the jet streams of Star Wars X-Wing, Star Trek Attack Wing, and Wings of Glory, Dungeons & Dragons Attack Wing is a ship-to-ship battle game that replaces the ships with dragons.  Set in the Forgotten Realms universe, the D&D Attack Wing Starter Set includes all the essential materials for two players to begin fighting their dragons.  Players control winged beasts and ground troops, all of which can be equipped with dragon, monster, heroic, equipment, arcane, or divine upgrades.  In addition to the Starter Set, other dragon and troop expansions are also on the shelves.  And if you have no interest in Attack Wing, but are an avid D&D player, then these miniatures are also usable in-game.

Cash and GunsLong awaited, but finally back in print, Cash’n'Guns is back on shelves!

For those unfamiliar, Cash’n'Guns recreates the class stand-off scenario from Reservoir Dogs, pitting four to eight players against each other.  Every player is given a foam pistol which they must load and point at other players (using cards) in an attempt to get them to lower their own weapon.  The second edition version has been updated with new artwork, new guns, and additional rules.Regular Show Fluxx

Fluxx continues to scoop up every nerd property available with the launch of this week’s Regular Show Fluxx!

If you’ve never touched a version of Fluxx, the gist is that the rules change as you play, beginning with the simple draw a card, play a card rule, but going crazy from there.  For the Regular Show version, Looney Labs has tailored the cards to reflect characters Grey Knights Codex hardcoverand catchphrases from the show, including Yeahuh!, Doing Donuts in the Park, and Do Me a Solid.  For a limited time, Pulp also has the No Rules Guy promo card to accompany the base game.

You though it would never happen, you thought the third edition codex would never be replaced, but Games Workshop has finally released a seventh edition codex for Grey Knights.  This hardcover volume contains new stats and rules for the related miniatures (new and old) as well as back story fluff for the faction.World of Tanks Rush

Based on the popular online game, this board game adaptation incorporates artwork from the online version and has players selecting cards to build up their squadron of tanks.  Two to five players then defend their headquarters against their opponents, Kaos Ballbringing in reinforcements when necessary in order to attain victory.

From the makers of Rivet Wars comes the most violent, brutal sports board game you’ve ever put kneepads on for.  Kaos Ball covers the gamut of the sporting season, having players draft, train, and form teams (four different teams are represented by elaborately designed sets of miniatures) as well as play through rugby-style game play focused around area control mechanics.Icons of the Realms Dungeons Dragons miniatures

With that in mind, Wizards of the Coast has released the first set of miniatures for fifth edition/D&D Next.  These oversized boxes of miniatures contains four randomized figures Star Wars LCG Darkness and Lightfrom a selection of forty-four possible options.

Following hot on the heels of the last two expansion pack releases for their respective games, Fantasy Flight‘s Lord of the Rings and Star Wars LCGs each receive new add-on packs this weekend.

Darkness and Light is the last expansion pack for the Echoes of the Force storyline, feature ten additional objective cards that allow players to explore the Sith, convince people your a god with C-3PO, and fly the Empire’s biggest, baddest ships.  Lord of the Rings Trouble in Tharbad LCG

The third expansion pack in the Ring-Maker cycle, Trouble in Tharbad adds sixty new cards to the base game, including cards that walk players through a journey through the infamous Dwarf city, fighting off Orcs and saving the Dwarf informant, Legendary EncountersNalir.

No one can hear you scream in Legendary:  Encounters.

Based off of the mechanics of the highly popular Marvel Legendary card game, Encounters adapts the Alien franchise into another cooperative experience.  Players work together to outlast hordes of Xenomorphs as Ripley, Bishop, Dallas, and other characters from the franchise.  But, beware, if you spawn a chest-burster, you become a Xenomorph and attack your former teammates.
