-Just in time for Spectre, Dynamite launches an ongoing James Bond series!

-A perfect pairing, Warren Ellis (Nextwave, Karnak, Moon Knight) is the lead writer on the series, contracted for a full year!

-While not an adaptation of an Ian Fleming novel, this comic series will be set in Fleming’s version of the Bond universe.

-Vargr, the first arc of the comic, sees Bond returning to England after a hunt for revenge in order to take up the duties of a recently killed 00 agent.  Will he meet the same fate?

Citizen Jack #1Citizen Jack

-If you’re fed up with the facades and manufactured nature of the recent political debates, Citizen Jack is the dark, political satire for you!

-Straying from his main Marvel gig, Sam Humphries (Star-Lord, Avengers A.I., Avengers World, Uncanny X-Force) launches this new Image ongoing series.

-The main character of Citizen Jack is a politician seeking the POTUS position, and, like everyone suspects of real politicians, Jack has literally sold his soul to the devil.

-The second major launch from Image Comics this week!

-Intricately illustrated, Monstress is for Sci-Fi fans of Dune, Alien, and the Riddick films.

-Another female lead series written and drawn by female creators!

-A young girl in a far away galaxy is bonded to a monster of tremendous power, which drops her directly between two opposing forces.  If you’ve been reading 8House and/or From Under Mountains, you need to pick up Monstress!

All New All Different Marvel November Week 1Extraordinary X-Men

-Another massive first week of the month for All New All Different Marvel releases.  Leading the charge this week is the return of Deadpool!

-Representing the cosmic section of the Marvel Universe, Nova #1 and Drax #1 (written by WWE superstar C.M. Punk) drop, as well!

-Under the radar, but likely to impress, Howard the Duck returns with a new #1 (and a Gwenpool back-up) while Hercules and Vision gain their own ongoing series.

-It’s rare that a publisher launches a children’s comic in this day and age, so kudos to IDW for releasing a new one!

-Yes, Marvel may be owned by Disney, but IDW has acquired the rights to print new material of classic Disney characters.

-Uncle Scrooge launches a series of Disney comics, including Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.

-Each issue of the Uncle Scrooge series will see Scrooge McDuck and his nephews adventuring in single issue stories, some time with other Disney characters!

-A crew of space people land on the surreal planet of Kaptara and, you know, stuff goes on.  Or, at least, that’s what Chip says.

-Like if God Hates Astronauts, Manhattan Projects, Sex Criminals, and Prophet had a four-way baby!

-Steve Jackson and John Kovalic have dominated gaming with their Munchkin card series for years.  Now they’re coming to comics.

-Another quirky, humorous series from the growing Boom! Box line of comics (Lumberjanes, Teen Dog, Adventure Time)!

-Seems like only yesterday that Rick Remender launched the Marvel NOW! flagship title, Uncanny Avengers.  Well, everything old is new again.

-Spinning out of the events of Avengers vs. X-Men Axis, this relaunched Uncanny Avengers series is a fresh jumping-on point for new readers.

The Mighty Avengers #1

-The Avengers are away and Thanos is here to play!  He plays a little rough, though.

-Luke Cage and a conglomeration of street-level heroes (including the Superior Spider-Man, Monica Rambeau, White Tiger, and the mysterious Spider-Hero) are all that’s left to fend off Thanos‘ generals!

-Marvel finally listened to fans and is providing a series with a little diversity to it!  When was the last time you saw three black superheroes on a team with only one white hero?  Yeah, never.  Glad to say it happens here.

-Geoff Johns lends his creative keyboard to the story for the Black Manta issue this week.  If you picked up Forever Evil #1, you know that Manta has just been broken out of prison and given Aquaman‘s trident.  What will he do next?
