Camel Up CupA rare two to eight player game, Camel Up is a bidding and dice rolling game centered around a pack of racing camels.  Five camels race around a pyramid while players roll dice to determine the amount of spaces each camel moves.  In between dice rolls, players can bet on their favored camel, earning more points at the end of the game based on how early they placed their bet.  But beware, the camels have a few tricks up their sleeves, including jumping on top of each other. Doomtown New Town New Rules

Since Gale Force Nine had difficulty keeping their D&D Next/5.0 Dungeon Master‘s screen in print, Wizards of the Coast stepped in and made one themselves.  Frankly, there’s is better.  A four panel, fold-out screen, this hard cardstock accessory provides all of the essential stats and tips a game master needs to keep his players spellbound and struggling along.Star Realms Crisis booster expansion

Among the many popular cooperative games on the market today, Flash Point is certainly the hottest (yes, I made that pun on purpose).  Flash Point:  Fire Rescue Honor and Duty, like the previous expansion, includes two new double-sided game boards.  Among these new scenarios are an airplane fire mission and a subway train disaster.  Keep in mind, a copy of the base game is Ninja Dicerequired.

Since the dawn of the art of ninjitsu, an ancient artform has passed from generation to generation.  It’s name?  Ninja Dice!  Okay, so maybe it’s not that ancient, but this push-your-luck dice game (similar to Zombie Dice and Martian Dice) has players taking on the role (or is that roll?) of a ninja.  By rolling dice, players establish a scenario they are attempting to sneak into, then roll another set of dice to determine how they will accomplish the goal.Dungeons Dragons Attack Wing Wave 2

Resistance is futile.  If you’re a die hard Trekkie (which means you’re likely a die hard Star Trek Attack Wing player), then you’re going to have to get a copy of the oversized Borg Cube miniature that releases this weekend.  Like the Deep Space Nine model that came out a couple weeks back, this miniature is to scale with the other Attack Wing miniatures.Holiday Fluxx

The adventures of the valiant mice knights of Mice and Mystics continues in the second expansion for the popular narrative board game, Downwood Tales.  Included in this hefty addition are a selection of new villains, characters, and story options to continue the adventures of the previous two games.  Among the new characters is a crafty gecko named Jakobe.Firefly RPG Things Don't Go Smooth

If you’re a captain in the verse, the obstacles that crop up between you and something shiny are numerous and varied.  The first supplemental sourcebook for the Firefly RPG, Things Don’t Go Smooth, focuses on these obstacles, detailing four additional types of villainous bosses as well as over fifty distinctions and assets, enemy boats, and two additional Star Wars Imperial Assault“episodes” to play through.  Keep flying.

Fantasy Flight had such a success with Descent: Journeys in the Dark that they decided to take the mechanics to a galaxy far, far away.  Star Wars Imperial Assault is the fourth major gaming release from Fantasy Flight that uses the Star Wars license.  In this epic board game, players take on the roles of either the Galactic Empire or the Rebel forces.  These two factions are distinguished by two separate game modes (Campaign and Skirmish) that each play differently for up to five players.  Fans of the classic Hero Quest system will find numerous similarities within Imperial Assault.

Based off the popular series of novels and video games, The Witcher receives a board game adaptation this weekend.  The Witcher Adventure Game throws players into a fantasy scenario where they control one of four characters, including Triss Merigold, Yarpen Zigrin, Geralt, and Dandelion, each represented by a deck of ability cards.  Choosing which character to play also decides how a player will approach each encounter, as some characters favor magic while other Warhammer Conquest The Howl of Blackmane War Packfavor diplomacy or attacking.

Warhammer‘s recently released deck building game, Warhammer 40K Conquest, receives its first expansion deck with The Howl of Blackmane.  Included in this expansion is a playable Space Marine character and his supporting unit, comprised of three sets of seventeen cards, similar to any of the expansion packs to Fantasy Flight‘s other Living Card Games.Diamonds

Another trick-taking card game, similar to Clubs, Rowboat, or Spades, Diamonds changes up the common mechanic for a new experience.  Players take turns laying down suited cards, attempting to match the previous suit.  However, if a player cannot match the suit they are given they are awarded a “suit action,” which allow the Wings of Glory Special Packsmovement of cards from different piles of cards.

Coming in off the flight deck this weekend is a full set of four new World War II Wings of Glory Special Packs.  Each of these Special Packs includes a full-sized airplane model for use in the Wings of Glory ship-to-ship battle game.  This series includes the BF-17F Memphis Belle, the BF-17G Bit of Lace, Avro Lancaster B MK III v.1, and the Avro Lancaster B MK III v.2.Star Trek Attack Wing Deep Space 9

Formerly only a tournament exclusive miniature, the Deep Space Nine space station is finally out to purchase at retail stores.  This oversized model can be incorporated into the Star Trek Attack Wing miniature battle game as either a ship or a scenario.

X-Wing Decimator FreighterFollowing the release of the Star Wars:  The Force Awakens trailer, the X-Wing miniature game keeps the hype going with two large miniature expansions.  First up, is the VT-49 Decimator, an imperial gunship that pushes the limits of size within the standard play scenarios.  The Decimator expansion also includes thirteen different upgrade cards, including fan favorite Mara Jade.  Second, the only ship that will do when the Millennium Falcon is tied up, the YT-2400.  Dash Rendar, Han Solo’s understudy, is included as a character card with the expansion, along with many Dungeons and Dragons Dungeon Master's Guideothers.

The much delayed Dungeon Master’s Guide for Dungeons and Dragons Next (or 5.0, if you wish) is finally here!  This new edition distills the best material from all past versions of the DM’s Guide, including rules from 2.0, 3.0, and 3.5.  Besides providing information about the three core elements of a DM’s Guide, those being world and adventure building, rules essentials, and magic items, the hardcover also contains helpful hints and tips, like how to design a villain and treasure tables.
