-It’s rare that a publisher launches a children’s comic in this day and age, so kudos to IDW for releasing a new one!

-Yes, Marvel may be owned by Disney, but IDW has acquired the rights to print new material of classic Disney characters.

-Uncle Scrooge launches a series of Disney comics, including Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.

-Each issue of the Uncle Scrooge series will see Scrooge McDuck and his nephews adventuring in single issue stories, some time with other Disney characters!

-Chip Zdarsky (or as his friends know him, Chololick Chip Zdouchsky), co-creator of Sex Criminals and author of the new Howard the Duck series, launches an absurd Sci-Fi series at Image!

-Image Comics has been killing it with a plethora of space adventure series lately, including Invisible Republic, Copperhead, Descender, Roche Limit, and Southern Cross.  Kaptara is the next hit!

-A crew of space people land on the surreal planet of Kaptara and, you know, stuff goes on.  Or, at least, that’s what Chip says.

-Like if God Hates Astronauts, Manhattan Projects, Sex Criminals, and Prophet had a four-way baby!

-Not a spin-off of Southern Bastards.  Not even close.

-Southern Cross is another Sci-Fi epic from the current top purveyors of the genre, Image Comics!

-From the writer of Gotham Academy and Batgirl, Becky Cloonan!

-Like a space version of Murder on the Orient Express, Southern Cross follows a young woman on a trip to the planet Titan to figure out who murdered her sister.  But will she make it there alive herself?

-Wyld Stallyns forever!

-Like they have previously done with Escape from New York and Big Trouble in Little China, Boom Studios are returning to a fan favorite property to continue the adventure!

-Bill and Ted are having trouble coming up with their next song and must call on the assistance of Rufus and a time traveling phone booth to journey through the ages in order to break through their writers block.

-Each issue in this six issue miniseries will also contain a back-up story by a rotating writer and artist team!

-Follows the events of the Arkham City video game.

-With the Joker dead and Arkham City shut down, Batman is recuperating when the next threat arises.
