New Game Stuff, what?  Where have you been?  I know, I know.

Cultists and CthulhusIt’s hard to find good help if you’re a cultist nowadays.  Or, at least, that’s what Cultists & Cthulhus would have you believe.  Brimming with the nerdy, cynically tinged humor shared by Munchkin and Chez Geek, Cultists & Cthulhus has players controlling rival cult leaders.  Each player attempts to round up followers, enact rituals, and (with hope) summon their very own old one.  Any two to eight Lovecraft fans will have a great time when they pick up a copy of Cultists & Cthulhus. My Little Pony Marks in Time booster

Eventually, every popular nerd series delves into time travel.  It’s just an unwritten rule.  Well, My Little Pony ventures into that timey wimey realm with the newest expansion set for the MLP collectible card game, Marks in Time.  Since the set is themed around time travel and alternate realities, players will find updated, younger, or irregular versions of classic cards and ponies in the set.

Agricola RevisedWait, Agricola?  That’s been out forever.  But there you would be wrong.  For one, Agricola has been out of print for a good deal a time, so having any version back in print is a good thing.  Second, this version of the game is an updated and revised edition.  Agricola Revised now features wooden game pieces and a streamlined rulebook that allows the game to play quicker and easier for younger players.  Fans of Settlers of Catan, San Juan, and Puerto Rico, if you’ve never played Agricola, now is the time.Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dice Masters TMNT

Long awaited by all heroes in a half-shell, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dicemasters set is finally out!  This oversized base set includes enough materials for two or four players, depending on how you divide the resources.  Featuring the artwork and character designs from various eras of TMNT, the game is playable by all ages.  As the game features the same popular mechanics of Quarriors and the other Dicemasters editions, TMNT Dicemasters can be combined with any of the previous sets.  So, if you want Star Wars Galactic Ambitions expansonyou can have Leonardo face off against Spider-Man and Harley Quinn!

Another in the line of beloved Star Wars The Card Game expansions, Galactic Ambitions is out this weekend.  Featuring five new objective sets for both the Sith and Rebel factions, Galactic Ambitions is a major addition to the base game.  Not only do the Sith and Rebel factions receive new objectives, but every other faction also gains one extra objective set.  Among those new cards, there is not only another version of Darth Vader, but also Star Wars Rebels‘ Kanan Jarrus!Eternal Masters Magic the Gathering

Finally, if you’re a Magic player and haven’t been living under a rock in the realm of Zendikar, you’ll have been salivating for the release of Eternal Masters.  Out this weekend, Eternal Masters is the follow-up to the two Modern Masters sets that raised such a fuss in the Magic world.  Reprinting cards from the very beginning of Magic the Gathering, but in never-before-seen foil versions, this set is seriously desired by any die hard Magic player.  Boxes are limited and the price point will rise swiftly as the set goes out of print, so grab what you can, while you can.

Chez Geek Spring BreakFor those layabouts still building up slack in the world of Chez Geek, Steve Jackson Games has another way for players to continue to be lazy.  The Chez Geek Spring Break expansion can be added to the base game in the form of forty entirely new cards, all themed around traveling for the Spring Break holiday.  In addition to those cards, the expansion also contains Event Cards, which are an entirely new element that changes up gameplay.Crossover Crisis Deck Building Game

Cryptozoic has built up quite an empire of property-based deck building games, including DC, The Lord of the Rings, and Street Fighter.  Well, this weekend they add another conquest to that list with the Crossover Crisis Deck Building Game.  In this version of the game, players are controlling and building decks around popular Cartoon Network shows, like Dexter’s Laboratory, Regular Show, Samurai Jack, and Adventure Time.  As always, this version of the game is completely compatible with other Cryptozoic deck builders, so if you want you can have Finn face off with Superman while Frodo waits in the wings.

Rory's Story CubesSay you’re writing your first novel.  Or game mastering an RPG for your buddies.  Or maybe just killing time with friends around a campfire.  No matter the case, Rory’s Story Cubes are designed to randomly generate story ideas and elements to help fire the imagination.  Out this weekend are six mini-expansion packs for the series, each with three dice featuring a single theme.  For example, the Enchanted box features story elements related to fairytales and fantasy while the Clues box is all mystery related.Talisman Cataclysm

A new big box expansion for the popular dungeon crawl board game, Talisman, drops this weekend.  Talisman The Cataclysm introduces an entirely new main board to replace the one found in the base game.  In addition to the replacement game board, the expansion also contains over 150 extra cards and miniatures that Munchkin Marvelintroduce five original characters into the game, including ones inspired by Viking and Indian mythology.

Marvel is in the air as Captain America:  Civil War is on the horizon.  Understanding their fan base, Steve Jackson has made another coup by acquiring the rights to Marvel‘s popular line of characters in order to release Munchkin Marvel.  A new base game for the popular series, Munchkin Marvel uses the same mechanics from the other Munchkin games, but applies the heroes and villains of Marvel to them.  You’ll still be fighting monsters and acquiring treasures, but now those monsters will be Thanos, The Red Skull, and the like while you’ll be using Mjolnir or Cap’s shield to take them down.

Dungeon Roll Legends Hero Booster Pack 2Another party of adventurers joins the Dungeon Roll!

The Dungeon Roll Legends Hero Booster Pack #2 provides eight entirely new heroes to be mixed into the popular dungeon crawl dice game.  These heroes, however, are far beefier than any of the previous heroes, so make sure to play them against each other or in a situation where other players are looking for a challenge.Deus board game

Deus is Latin for God, making it a perfect name for the new hand management where players pray to their society’s deities through offerings.  Deus begins with players receiving a hand of five cards, randomly featuring one of six colors.  Each color represents a resource (military, trade, temples, etc.), which is then used to construct buildings in honor of the gods.  These buildings are placed on a variable board (whose dimensions are Village Port Expansiondecided by the number of players) in order to acquire points and gain victory.

The boundaries of the popular Tasty Minstrel Game release, Village, continue to grow.  Village:  Port is the newest expansion for the game and it is a sizable one.  Not only does Port give players the option of boarding a skiff and sailing the seas in order to find buried treasure, but also new life goal cards that allow players to choose career options for their characters.Chez Geek Slack to the Future

It’s taken Steve Jackson a bit of time to get another Chez Geek expansion out on the shelves, but, to be fair, the game is about who can be the laziest.  Like a slacker cousin to the popular Munchkin franchise, Chez Geek has players earning slack points for doing as little as they can.  Slack to the Future, the creatively titled expansion that hits shelves this weekend includes fifty-six new jobs, Aqua Spherefriends, food, and activities that can be used to acquire “slack” in the game.

While it may not be as insane as Sealab 2021, AquaSphere is still a frantic game of underwater area control.  Players compete to collect data regarding the ocean.  Every player controls a team of researchers (comprised of a scientist, engineer, robots, and submarines) across to halves of the game board (a lab and headquarters).  Gathering knowledge points moves you closer to winning and to do so players must expend actions to observe octopuses, expand your lab, or increase your team’s abilities.Hanabi Deluxe

Hanabi, among the most popular cooperative games on the market, gains a deluxe edition this weekend.  Deluxe Hanabi plays exactly like the original, with player working together to create a fireworks display.  The trick is that each player can see everyone but their own fireworks, requiring everyone to describe and hint at what each other has.  The Deluxe Hanabi edition replaces the standard cards with Mahjong tiles, reflecting the Eastern influence and setting of the game.
