Nightfall airlines welcomes you to another leg in the global tour of terror with Eastern Skies.

Set in India, Eastern Skies sees the Nightfall encroaching on a barely touched city, but one which is beginning to see the arrival of ghouls from the depths.  A deck-building game featuring monstrous creatures, like werewolves, vampires, ghouls, and the like, facing off against those that hunt them.  This expansion adds new wound effects, starting minions, and link abilities, leading to faster play.

Catalyst Game Labs have cooked up a head-to-head tile game that rivals chess.  Meet The Duke.

Players move armies of soldiers toward their opponent’s Duke, attempting to capture him.  How these armies are moved across the field is the unique bit.  Each troop is indicated by a tile, designated with a special movement ability (side-to-side, forward-and-back, etc.), but each also has an entirely different ability on the back which is activated after the tile is moved.

Hanabi, an impressively popular cooperative card game released over the last couple weeks, is back in stock.

Players work together to try and construct the most impressive fireworks show in all of Japan by laying down cards in a particular order.  Where it gets tricky is that everyone holds their cards outward, facing the other players, so that their holder can not see them.

Forget second life, first life is where World of Warcraft Trivial Pursuit is at!

Applying the classic Trivial Pursuit format (roll, move, answer question in a category, rinse, repeat) to the World of the Warcraft, players compete against each other in a game of nerdy knowledge, attempting to out fact those who they would normally spear within WoW.

The Legend of the Five Rings RPG expands its boundaries a little further with Naishou Province.  This supplemental book contains a map of the Province, a special heavily detailed section onthe Province’s capital city (Toshi no Naishou), as well as a complete history of the Lion Elite Spearman School.

Earn some frequent flyer miles with the new beta edition of Age of Rebellion for the Star Wars RPG.  This entirely new rulebook details what players need to control pilots, soldiers, spies, and fighters among the Rebel Alliance.  For a short time, each copy comes with seven extra pre-built character sheets, including Dero Jin, the pilot to ride into battle with Lando Calrissian in Return of the Jedi.

Warhammer 40K isn’t the only Warhammer putting out codex lately.

Warhammer Fantasy releases an updated, brand new Dark Elves Codex this weekend!

Side-scrolling video games always end with a menacing boss monster, but those poor, lonely, hard-working soles never get any respect.

Until Boss Monster the card game!

A popular Kickstarter endeavor, Boss Monster has players controlling the boss monster at the end of an 8-bit side-scrolling level, but the twist is that you get to assemble the level.  Balancing appealing loot with deadly challenges, players attempt to make their level more appealing to would-be heroes than their boss monster peers.  Just remember to leave that axe away from that bridge line.

Absolution Rubicon #1

1. In theory, superheroes as cops seems like a great idea.  Not in the world of Absolution, however.  Former super-detective John Dusk has gone over the deep end, murdering perps indiscriminately, and now the world’s other heroes are gunning for his head.

2. Christos Gage applies his history of writing crime shows like Law & Order: SVU and Numb3rs to this creator-owned series for Avatar Press, a combination which results in gritty sleuthing and ludicrous violence.

3. With Dusk’s reputation in the gutter, criminals he’s put away could possibly be released to wreak havoc upon the city.  Sounds like a perfect climax to the series, but will Dusk be able to stop them alone?  Doubtful, but he does have Happy Kitty, a psychotic, murderous Japanese school girl to (maybe) back him up.

4. Absolution Rubicon #1 explores what would happen if a hero imbued with the power level of Green Lantern started murdering the bad guys and, because it’s Avatar, it does it in the most gruesome way possible.

Avengers A.I. #1

1. The Age of Ultron has passed.  Long live the age of A.I.!  Following the time stream shattering conclusion of Age of Ultron, Hank Pym assembles a team of robotic Avengers to put things right.

2. Fan favorites like The Vision and Victor Mancha of The Runaways return alongside the likes of a rogue Doombot and a cadre of original characters.

3. Sam Humphries has begun to build a strong reputation as a unique author in the world of comics with Indy darlings, like Our Love is Real, and Marvel hits, like Ultimate Comics Ultimates, but now gets to unleash his voice on a title that allows him room to invent and imagine.  Think of how good similar books, like Hawkeye and Daredevil, are right now.

4. Dig on the retro 8-Bit variant cover designed to look like a classic game of Donkey Kong to the right.

Satellite Sam #1

1. Matt Fraction returns to his seedy, independent roots with next week’s Satellite Sam.  Though he’s killing it on Marvel‘s Hawkeye, Fantastic Four, and FF, Fraction does some of his best work when the reins are off, for instance Five Fists of Science and Casanova.

2. A period piece, Satellite Sam is a cold, hard, debauched murder mystery set during the deceptively wholesome fifties. When a famous TV host turns up deader than a door nail, his alcoholic son is the only one who can solve this unsolvable murder.

3. Comic legend Howard Chaykin brings his A game as the interior artist of the book, matching the setting and tone perfectly to his vintage style.

4. Like all recent Image Comics hits (Jupiter’s Legacy, Lazarus, Sex), Satellite Sam #1 is bound to sell out quickly and become a hot collector’s item shortly thereafter.  Buy it and enjoy it before the after market vultures sore by.

Trinity of Sin: Pandora #1

1. Nearly three years ago, Pandora watched from the sidelines of every single New 52 comic.  Now, she makes her presence known!

2. The first tie-in book for DC‘s major Justice League crossover event, Pandora #1 serves as the catalyst for the oncoming destruction to follow in Justice League, Justice League Dark, and Justice League of America.

3. Ray Fawkes has been paying his dues co-writing JLD and Constantine with Jeff Lemire, but now he gets to let loose on a solo series, one, in fact, that will explain the most mysterious character in the New 52 universe.

4. Find out who Pandora is and what she’s been up too since last we saw her in Justice League #6!

Black Friday is not a day for words, but for action.  In that spirit, here is the least wordy edition of New Game Stuff you will ever run across.

Game Mastery has deposited in our laps two new wonderful accessory products.  First being the Magic Academy Map Pack.  It’s maps for the Magic Academy, nothing more to say.

Second is the Warehouse Flipmat.  Again, self explanatory.

Also on the quick mention list is the new Small World: Tunnels mini-expansion.  This allows you to combine the boards for Small World and Small World Underground.  But you will have had to purchase a copy of either game at the store to get it.

Super Dungeon Explore is happy good time fun!  Amendment to that last part: especially if you’re an avid fan of 8-bit games and dungeon crawling.

Combining the two, Super Dungeon Explore has players selecting a party (like from a video game select screen) then exploring a multi-roomed dungeon collecting treasures and bashing monsters.  Coming with some absolutely snazzy looking cartoony miniatures, if you’ve got two or more players, this game will supply a good time.

Thinking about getting into Warmachine?  Well, much in line with the Assault on Black Reach box for Warhammer or the Beginner Box for Pathfinder, the new Two-Player Battle Box has everything you’ll need for two folks to get into the game.  That “everything” includes a rules primer, dice, ruler, and 17 miniatures between the Khador and Protectorate of Menoth factions, along with their stat cards.

Put your elves, dwarfs, and gnomes to work in the worker placement game known as Belfort.  This quaint fantasy burg needs some reconstruction, which luckily each of the previously mentioned creatures are uniquely able to provide.  Gnomes can run the city, dwarfs can supply wood, while combinations of these guys can result in other point-earning activities.  From Tasty Minstrel Games (makers of Martian Dice), who have been producing some addictive games of late, Belfort could be considered a Carcassonne on crack.

Heading back to the world of Warmachine, the new Hordes: Domination rulebook brings the new freshness.  Including new rules and information on warlocks, the Hordes saga, and new Theme Forces.  Keep pace with the cool kids and pick up a book!

Speaking of books containing dark, deadly, bleakness, here’s the new Deathwatch: First Foundry hardcover.  This book contains a lot of nines.  Nine Space Marine Loyalist chapters.  Nine Traitor Legions as well.  There’s also four chapters left out of the previous Deathwatch editions.  Futuristic pessimism has never looked so good.

Finally, we end on the first expansion for the popular Quarriors! dice/deck building game.  Rise of the Demons introduces 20 new dice and the corruption mechanic (think curse cards in Dominion) where players attempt to clog up their opponents dice bags with a bunch of useless corruption dice.  It’s on now, peoples!
