QUICK REMINDER (Week of July 4th):
1. Pulp Fiction will NOT be open today (July 4th), so everyone grab some fireworks and celebrate the 4th!
2. Also, due to the 4th landing on a Tuesday, new comics will be coming out on Thursday, July 6th this week. We apologize for the holiday disruption to everyone’s comic-reading plans (we blame the mailman)!
3. Magic: the Gathering Prerelease is this weekend, with events running all weekend long, so everyone get ready for some insane games involving cards from Hour of Devastation.
4. Finally, we won’t be having game night on Sunday this week, because staff is all-hands-on-deck for this weekend’s prerelease! The game room will still be open all day during business hours on Sunday, 12-6! Sorry night gamers, we’ll be back next week though!
Have a safe, fun, and explosive 4th of July everyone! Be safe!

Guess what folks?! Magic: the Gathering Prerelease is this weekend and we have our usual spread of events. If 1vs1 magic is your flavor, then we have you covered at Midnight Tonight, then again on Saturday at 7:00PM.

Prefer partnering up? Think two-minds are better than one? 20 health not enough for you? Well then come on up for our Two-Headed Giant events. The first one will be at noon on Saturday and the second one will be at 1:00PM on Sunday.

Each prerelease event this weekend is $25 a head and includes 6 packs of Amonkhet, a special date-stamped promo, one Amonkhet themed spindown life counter, and a convenient holding box for the tournament. We can’t wait to see you for the Trial of Knowledge!! (Prerelease)

One week left on pre-ordering Magic: the Gathering’s newest set, Amonkhet at our special preorder price!! Amonkhet is a top-down-designed MTG set, meaning that Wizards designed the set with the flavor of Ancient Egypt in mind and built mechanics from the ground up pertaining to that lore. Amonkhet contains 269 different cards, with 20 basic lands, 101 commons, 80 uncommons, 53 rares, and 15 mythic rares.

Keeping up with recent tradition, Wizards has also snuck special premium cards into random packs. Inside these random packs of Amonkhet are incredibly rare and unique Masterpiece Series cards called Invocations, which are all premium foil reprints of special, powerful cards of the past. Amonkhet’s invocations all contain new art and a special card frame inspired by ancient Egyptian steles.
