Pulp Fiction Comics & Games will be running a Warhammer 40k ‘Ard Boyz Tournament on August 13th! What is “Ard Boyz” you ask? Let’s let the fine folks at Games Workshop explain:
‘Ard Boyz Tournaments are a three-part, competitive series of events hosted by Independant Retailers across North America. Unlike the traditional tournament format you may be familiar with that takes into consideration your painting and sportsmanship, the ‘Ard Boyz Tournaments focus on one thing and one thing only – how well you play the game! These tournaments are the place to field that nasty list you felt guilty about playing, or that massive horde army you couldn’t hope to paint in time.
We’ll be running a 16 person tournament with prize support! The event is on Saturday, August 13. The sign in starts at 9am and the first round will begin at 10am! There is no cost to sign up and prereg is now open so come on out and sign up!

We’re hosting a preview event for The Hunt for Gollum, the first adventure pack for The Lord of the Rings LCG. You can see and play the adventure pack before it’s available. If you have The Lord of the Rings LCG, please bring it to the event so that we have enough copies for several players.

Today is Mother’s Day so we will not be running a Board Game Night tonight.

Free Comic Book Day!
The Comics Themselves!! As you all know, FCBD is coming this Saturday from 10AM to midnite at the store. We will have a special selection of books to give out as always with one change this time.
We are allowing up to 3 books per person this year as we have before. Each additional book that you would like to pick up we ask for one canned good to be donated.
All donations will go to Lee’s Summit, MO Social Services and then will be doled out as necessary to any local food bank or charity as necessary.
Come celebrate FCBD with us and help us give a little back to the local community!
Now on to the Sale! In addition to picking up a nice selection of free comics this year, we will also be doing 25% off on all trade paperbacks and graphic novels. T-shirts and posters will be 20% off with statues and action figures at 15% off. Finally, back issues will be 50% off!
